New Dental clinics to be opened at Amritsar: Brahm Mohindra

AMRITSAR: On the occasion of 29th fortnight, ‘State level denture distributing programme’ has organized to make people aware about the hygiene and dental care.

Addressing on the occasion, Health & Family Welfare Minister said that as many as 5000 set of dentures have been distributed free of cost in the Punjab including 250 in district,Amritsar. He said that in order to provide standardize dental care services in the district, 2 new dental clinics would be opened at ESI hospital and civil hospital before March 31.

He also announced the amount of Rs.10 lakh for Dental Hospital,Amritsar to buy machinery and other equipments.

To avail quick and accurate information about dental services, a dedicated website dentalhelp.in has also launched by the Health Minister. He also apprised that 309 dental surgeons and more than 12000 dental clinics were being working to provide dental care services in the state. He said that health department has also decided to provide 40 new dental chairs and 80 new X-Ray machines to the dental hospitals.

Brahm Mohindra during his visit to ESI hospital, addressed the problems of patients thus he ordered the senior officers of health department to sort it out on the priority basis. He said that ESI hospital would renovate with the cost of Rs. 1.5 crore and also assured to provide more funds if needed.
